You may remember the previous hilarious Ameriquestad, showing someone innocently getting into a situation where it looked as if they were doing something bad and saying ‘don’t judge too quickly’. I love these funny Ameriquest commercials and plan on showing all my favourite ones here, so keep an eye out for more in the future, but to get you started here is the latest funny viral video from the mortgage company with a sense of humour.

5 very badly placed adverts

Have a look below at some very poorly placed adverts. What were the media buyers thinking? Maybe they are not able to control what goes up next to their chosen spots, but some of them sure are strange.

This first one shows a lovely white pair of cotton panties being advertised on the side of a bus, that has driven through a puddle and splashed muddy water all over the aforementioned panties. Nice…. not!

We follow that advertising disaster with this poorly selected contextual online advertisement that sees a news story about child abuse next to an advert featuring the picture of a schoolgirl and the slogan “Remember your very first girlfriend?”.

That epic ad fail is followed by this the also inept positioning of a cancer charity billboard featuring above a huge cigarette advertisement. What were they thinking?

And the fails just keep on failing… Next up a McDonalds special bulk offer next to a child obesity advert. I’m sure neither organisation is lovin’ that positioning.

And finally we have a slightly more techie joke as a Yahoo! ad gets placed next to a sign with 404 on it. A 404 error is an error code that means that what you are looking for cannot be found (HTTP standard response code indicating that the client was able to communicate with the server, but the server could not find what was requested).

Whilst these ad placements are funny and sometimes very ironic, there is also the possibility to upset people in this politically correct age we live in. I am surprised I have not heard more stories of media sellers being sued for the spots they give. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed them.

Ameriquest was a leading US mortgage lender until August 31st 2007 when it ceased lending and sold its loan servicing unit to Citigroup. It was also a company that came up with a hilarious ad campaign to promote its lending services, showing someone innocently getting into a situation where it looked as if they were doing something evil or illegal and saying ‘don’t judge too quickly‘. I love these funny commercials and plan on showing my favourites here, so keep an eye out for more in the future, but to get you started here is the first, a funny viral video that will make you lol.

Very funny advert for Danier Leather

The creative guys at the ad agencies don’t always earn their crust, in my humble opinion, but sometimes they create little moments of comedy genius that get everybody talking and sharing. This funny advert, for Danier leather, is a perfect example of the power of good advertising, so check out this funny commercial; if you haven’t already seen it, that is.

The ending of this viral video, with the two hopeful guys in the lift, is the perfect closing image. It seems we all love to see a cocky Romeo brought back down to earth, hopefully not with a bang in this case though. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this funny video.

Tui is too tempting for men, only women work in the brewery

Tui is a New Zealand brewery that makes great beer commercials. I haven’t tried their beer so I can’t comment on that, I’m afraid (If you have had a pint of Tuis then let me know in the comments how it tastes). Anyway, the jist of the advert is that the factory didn’t run well when men worked there as they ended up drinking all the beer, so now women run the brewery and some are more feminine than others. Check out this funny beer ad and see what you think about the Tuis women only brewery.

As a follow up to the rather amusing parody Viagra commercial I posted a while back I have the next level in Viagra commercials. This time it is a funny video ad, instead of a funny poster ad, but the results are the same: a very amusing commercial that pokes fun at the product as well as ad creatives and target audience. Here is another funny beer commercial for Carling Black Label. You may remember the funny ad they had where the woman poured beer all over the apartment and her man licked the place clean, well this time our hero is stranded on a desert island with no electricity to keep his fridge running and his Carling cold. Him and his crab buddy work out a way to remedy this… with comic consequences. Check it out!

Fleggaard is a German discount store but I am sure they are more famous for their risque ads than anything else. Well, they may be racy, but they are equal opportunities too as these funny video clips show, they offer a little something for both men and women. Watch these hilarious ads and get your daily fill of abs or boobs, depending on what you are after.

Cerveza Andes have a teletransporter to stop you getting in trouble

Here is another beer commercial that shows once more all the great creatives that go into the beer industry. This time it is an Argentinian beer called Andes Cerveza and the commercial is based on guys getting in trouble for spending time with their mates in the pub, so they use the Andes teletransporter to pretend they are somewhere else and to keep their girlfriends happy. Simple, clever and a great viral video advert. Check it out:
